Banana Bread From Scratch
Makes one 9-inch loaf
What you'll need
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup of sugar
3/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 very ripe, soft, darkly speckled large bananas, mashed well
1/4 cup of any yogurt ( We use Activia flavored yogurt )
2 large eggs beaten
6 tablespoons ( 3/4 stick ) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Take two medium-size bowls and mix in one, all dry ingredients, and stir thoroughly.
2. In the other bowl stir together the mashed bananas, yogurt, vanilla extract, eggs, and melted butter.
3. Now, mix together the two into one bowl.
4. Grease the bottom and sides of a 9 by 5-inch loaf pan. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
5. And once done put in your banana bread for about 1 hour.
6. Take it out and let it cool. Now, you have your own amazing banana bread from scratch, for an amazing breakfast, or snack!
